The more honest and true we are, the more at peace we are . . .

Jarl and Steve have been sending out a daily insight for many years now from their Gratitude 24/7 web site. They are always uplifting like this one today that underscores the importance of honesty. Self honesty is the foundation.

“Being honest about everything ultimately makes life much easier and so much more enjoyable. Authenticity increases the likelihood of attracting people, places and things that are in alignment with who we really are and what we really want. We also gain another important benefit: we send the message to our subconscious mind that we accept who we are. Hiding or pretending makes us feel we aren’t good enough, as we are. This creates inner shame that leads to self-hatred. The more honest and true we are, the more at peace we are with ourselves and…

Everyone around us.”

When conflicts arise, step away and breathe. . .

My career has focused on working with people in conflict. I am often struck by the fact that way to deal with the inevitable conflict we face is not complicated. But also not easy. This simple instruction to step away is a good example of what I mean. Easier said than done as our capacity to do it is dependent on our inner peace!

"When conflicts arise, step away and breathe. There's a natural universal law that when you change the vibration of something, you change the result. The natural response is to fight back, which only increases the 'vibration' of the conflict, but inner stillness in one person changes the result for both people. Just try it and see!"
